Today I saw an exhibition of photographs by Nan Goldin .
Very nice and strong.

Technically the pictures were often point-and-shoot, pictures of what his eyes were round, with no filter between reality and film details given by shots or study, formal laying of the subject by focusing or exhibition. 90% of the photo was in color and as I understand it was taking on a slide with print Cibachrome : I do not understand much, but what he says in the "Benefit" is what interests me: the colors were amazing. Bright, contrasting, and filled with an excellent performance with flash (I think of the sad digital photos with the flash made entry-level machines, where we humans seem to all pale and dead). For the record, the Austrian Fennesz , guitarist and master of 'minimal electronic, and Jappo Sakamoto , pianist, are two thick musicians who used to work, creating pieces of rare beauty and class.
